Topshop Glam Christmas Picks

Hello again girls(and guys),

Okay so my last post was comfy cozy outfits but Christmas isn't all about that, let's not forget Christmas parties and New Year's Eve parties!

So, to me Christmas and New Years parties are definitely an excuse to fork out a bit for a beautiful outfit. I'm not saying you need to go all out with sequins and a feather boa but hey if that's your style there's no problem with that either!

Here are a few picks that I've found from Topshop that I think are so perfect for this season.

If you aren't a dress person, playsuits are a fashionable alternative. This emerald playsuit is beautiful, with lace detailing on the arms and a lace trim you could pair this with barely there strappy heels (look at Boohoo if online or New Look if in store) and a leather jacket for a edgy New Year's look.

As a self confessed lace lover, is it any surprise that alongside that playsuit I am loving the daring sheer lace dress. I think the styling options are endless with this piece. An updo and simple jewellery could be all you need, please however don't forget that as beautiful as lace is, it's not warm. A faux fur coat will complete the look, lace and fur is a classic pairing that can never go wrong after all.

The floral jacquard dress is a go-to for any type of event and it's just as suited to New Year's festivities because of the bold pattern and structure of the dress I'd go minimal with either block heels or platforms so you don't take away from the dress.

Velvet - In my mind that's synonymous with the Christmas party season, but that's because my mother was fond of dressing me up in it. Anyway velvet has a place in my heart and this black velvet playsuit is something that I actually have purchased for the new year. I picked this over the emerald green simply because I had an outfit idea in mind already and I'm a fan of wearing all black (festive I know) I would suggest wearing these with lace up heels, and either a fur or a leather jacket. Lace up heels were something I wasn't too keen on but I've decided to give them a go. Online site Public Desire is bringing it on the shoe front, with a 10% discount for students I didn't feel too guilty buying my first pair of black lace ups to go with this playsuit.

Finally, the sequin dress - now this truly represents New Year's, I honestly don't have to say much about how to style this dress cause most things will go with it. The dress itself is the statement anything else is just an add on. You can pair almost any jacket, any hairstyle, any pair of heels with this and it would go, also who doesn't  love sequins? You can't help but feel beautiful in them!
