Saturdays In Shoreditch

Hello loves,

I know I know I'm terrible when it comes to a frequent posting schedule but I am honestly trying to get better! Give me a chance to find my feet and bi weekly posts will be the norm I promise you. I do want to make blogging a big part of my life but balancing it alongside work and uni is a hard task indeed.

But...least I'm back with a post for you all and hopefully you enjoy it!

So back to the post. Last weekend I decided to head down to Shoreditch, just because, I fancied doing some thrifting. I haven't been to Shoreditch since summer and going in winter( I'm not sure if it's still technically winter but it IS still freezing) is very different. The weather didn't put a damper on the day though and I was able to get some good shots of the artwork scattered around the area.

I love the artwork in Shoreditch, so much so that I felt the need to stop at almost every graffitied wall I saw and take a picture in a very touristy un-Londoner like way, but oh well.

Shoreditch isn't only known for the artwork but it's thrift stores and I knew I had to go into Rokit and see what they had.
(I ended up getting the black one)
I love Rokit, the shops have such a tumblr-esque hipster vibe (I hate using that to describe them but really, that's the only way I can) the prices are decent for good quality vintage pieces and even if you aren't into a more nostalgic look, I can almost guarantee you will find something that takes your interest.

When the rain started my hunger became a huge distraction and so food had to be found. Brick Lane has a lot of asian resturants but I wasn't in the mood for that and so we headed to BoxPark in search of something to eat. We ended up in the Chicken Box, which really if you know me is no surprise because BBQ anything I'm all about.
I ended up going for BBQ wings with fries, a small salad and coleslaw. Not exactly adventurous, but I'm a creature of habit and when eating in new places I'm likely to pick an item on the menu that I think won't make my stomach go crazy. The food was great the sauce used for the chicken was different to most that I've tried, though I still can't put my finger on exactly what is in it that left such an impact.

Shoreditch really isn't that far from Oxford Street and as I had a bit of time on my hands I decided to check out the Urban Outfitters, I didn't see anything worth buying but I did see some things that made me laugh and would make some great gag gifts for a friend or family member.

All can be found at UO

If you haven't been to Shoreditch I seriously recommend doing so, and making sure you stop at the places I've mentioned!

Where are some of your favorite places in London to visit? Please tell me in the comments, I love going to new places so anywhere that you think will interest me, feel free to let me know!

Ren.
