YSL Black Opium Gift Set

Okay so this one is a bit different to my previous posts but that doesn't mean I'm any less excited to do it, probably even more so because I've wanted this fragrance for so long! I'm definitely one of those people who believe the buzz around a certain product or perfume if it's given enough praise from my favourite Youtubers or bloggers and I honestly can't think of one person with a negative thing to say about the Black Opium line.

I always told myself I would save and allow myself to buy this as a gift to myself but it's not a secret that I am terrible when it comes to saving money and a rainy day fund is an almost impossible concept for me to achieve so I just could never justify buying this for myself.

BUT...I do have someone who loves me enough to surprise me with the YSL gift set(so the lipstick was included) and I cannot thank him enough, when I saw the Perfume shop bag I have literally never felt so appreciative in my life.

First off the packaging is amazing, just look at it. When the fragrance is used up the bottle is beautiful enough to just be a vanity topper, which is something I will probably do. As I got the gift set it came in a larger box of the same design, and I got a small pouch to keep the fragrance and lipstick in.

The lipstick is a traditional YSL lipstick style, a classic red that I will no doubt be wearing soon. Very pigmented and a perfect size to carry in any bag along wherever you go.

I'm terrible when it comes to describing scents but if you look it up online the experts say that the scents included are:
Mandarin
Pepper
Pear
Jasmine
Orange Blossom
Coffee
Patchouli
and Ceaderwood

That is a lot in one bottle but if you're a fan of any of those then I would highly recommend smelling this. It is sweet but still smells almost spicy because of the notes of pepper and coffee, the floral notes are the top notes which makes it a perfect scent for all year round.

I can say whole heartedly this is my new favourite scent and I think will become my "signature" scent (that makes me feel grown I won't lie to you guys.

Are you a fan of the YSL Black Opium line? If so what fragrance, a new one was released just recently.
