10 Things I've Learnt This Year

2016 wasn't the best of years for me, the year was really a learning curve and a year of "L"s but that's okay because I'm looking onwards and upwards to 2017 and I'm optimistic it'll be an extraordinary year! In this post I'll let you in on some things that I've learnt this year.

1. It's Okay To Be Sad, Sometimes.
This year was full of ups and downs for me and I definitely cried quite a few times this year. A hell of a lot actually. But I've accepted it's only natural and I'd rather do that than bottle it in.

2. Not Everyone/Thing You Lose Is A Loss
I'm a strong believer in this. I have "lost" a lot this year, but as it goes on I've realised more and more that all these things can't really be losses if they don't upset me as much as they did. It's like seeing an angry tweet on Timehop, then thinking "what what this even about?" See couldn't have been that important.

3. Ends Can Justify The Means
Debatable I know, but out of some of the rubbish situations I've been in, majority of the positives that came out of them that made it all worth it.

4. Procrastination Is A Killer
Boy is it a killer! It's my worst enemy and I'm currently doing it right now. I hope it gets better.

5. Sometimes Take Chances
I consider myself a very safe person, I don't like taking chances and potentially putting myself in a situation I don't like. But it's worth taking chances, guys.

6. Sometimes You Don't Get What You Want
We can't always get what we want. That's life. C'est la vie.

7. It's Not By Force To Forgive.
I know people love to say forgive and forget. Not me. Sorry. If I feel hurt I feel it and so I do feel it's in my best interest to keep a weary distance from those who have hurt me.

8. Not Everyone Appreciates You
It's frustrating to be a great person and people are yet to realise that and appreciate your greatness. That's okay though, someone else out there will appreciate you and you should never sell yourself short.

9. I Love Makeup
I love it. Eyeshadow palettes, highlight and anything to do with brows. I'm here for it hunty.

10. It's Okay To Make Mistakes.
Boy have I made a lot this year! I mean A LOT . But you know that's all part of life and I'm 19. I think I'm allowed a few more solid years of F-Ups in order to really know myself. I can say from all the mistakes I've made this year I've learnt lessons from every single one. So I'm grateful.
